Undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is set to defend his title against Tony Ferguson at UFC 249 in April.
As if the fans needed any more reason to be excited for this highly anticipated contest, the UFC has just released a new official promo video for it.
This UFC 249 promo features highlights from both, Nurmagomedov’s and Ferguson’s most notable performances. Khabib explains that he needs to beat Tony Ferguson for his legacy. You can watch it below:
“I am undefeated, undisputed lightweight champion, 28-0. I dominate every single opponent. Noone [is] even close. I am on a different level and everybody knows. But even if I beat [Al] Iaquinta, Conor [McGregor], [Dustin] Poirier. For my legacy, I have to beat Tony Ferguson.”
UFC 249 will feature the undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov defending his title against the highly ranked challenger, Tony Ferguson. It has been labeled “the most anticipated fight in UFC history,” in reference to the fact that they have been booked to fight 4-times in the past, with both fighters pulling out twice due to injuries and weight cutting issues.
We are just 1 month away from the event and fans are hoping that both, Nurmagomedov and Ferguson can make it to fight night injury-free. Fans have also expressed concern, regarding the UFC 249 event, which takes place in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, and the COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus. The United States government has recently declared a state of emergency in New York due to the outbreak of the virus.
