Crowd pleasing UFC bantamweight Sean O’Malley made his return to the Octagon last night at UFC 248 against Jose Quinonez.
O’Malley (10-0 MMA) had not fought in the Octagon since UFC 222 in March of 2018, where he picked up a win over Andre Soukhamthath. The undefeated UFC bantamweight prospect has been highly praised by the promotion’s president Dana White. O’Malley was out of action for nearly 2 years after having to deal with USADA issues in an attempt to clear his name after a failed drug test in 2018.
His UFC 248 opponent, Jose Quinonez (8-3 MMA) last fought in the Octagon at September’s event in Mexico City, scoring a unanimous decision win over Carlos Huachin.
