UFC 248 headliners Israel Adesanya and Yoel Romero are leading the way in salaries, with the champion being the biggest earner on the card.
Pundits have “The Last Stylebender” as the favorite to win this weekend’s highly anticipated main event against the Cuban, Yoel Romero. The UFC 248 fighters salaries seem to reflect that too.
Both fighters made weight yesterday so the scheduled bout is a go. The Cuban remains extremely confident that he be the first man to defeat Adesanya inside the Octagon. Not only that, but he believes that he will do so by way of knockout after the champion makes just “one mistake”.
Romero is widely known for his explosiveness and knockout power, but will head into the main event on a 2-fight losing streak after suffering back-to-back decision losses to Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa.
Adesanya won the UFC Middleweight title at UFC 243 in October of 2019 after beating the former champion Robert Whittaker via TKO in the 2nd-round.
The undefeated champion sports a record of 18-0, Adesanya and will be getting a nice pay day for his efforts at UFC 248. The Nevada State Athletic Commission revealed the fighter salaries for UFC 248 to MMA Fighting.
