UFC Lightweights Paul Felder and Dan Hooker just had an epic 5-round war in the main event of last night’s UFC Auckland.
Unfortunately for Paul Felder, he lost the fight via split decision after two of the judges in attendance scored the fight in favor of the New Zealand native in Dan Hooker.
This loss ended a 2-fight winning streak for “The Irish Dragon” and left the fighter with some pretty gruesome facial injuries.

After losing to Hooker in last night’s UFC Auckland main event, Paul Felder told the UFC commentator Dan Hardy that he was considering retirement.
Felder mentioned his 4-year-old daughter as the reason for him possibly stepping away from competing in the sport of MMA.
‘The Irish Dragon’ has never been in a boring fight and during his time in the Octagon he’s scored notable wins over Daron Cruickshank, Danny Castillo, Josh Burkman, Charles Oliveira, James Vick and Edson Barboza respectively.
As for the victorious Dan Hooker, ‘The Hangman’ wasted no time in calling out top Lightweight contender Justin Gaethje following his win over Felder.
Justin Gaethje is yet to respond to Hooker’s callout, but knowing Gaethje, we can only assume that a response will come soon.
