Former UFC Flyweight champion Henry Cejudo has taken shots at Joseph Benavidez and Deiveson Figueiredo, calling them “ugly detached Siamese twins”.
Last saturday night Joseph Benavidez and Deiveson Figueiredo squared off in the main event of UFC Norfolk. The bout was supposed to determine the new UFC Flyweight champion — unfortunately, Figueiredo missed weight for the fight, which made him ineligible to win the title. He won the fight by 2nd-round TKO, which has left the Flyweight title vacant.
Henry Cejudo appears to be loving all of this uncertainty surrounding his former division.
Following saturday’s events, Cejudo took to Twitter and said that he plans to return to Flyweight to “take all of their heads”. His manager Ali Abdelaziz appeared to back this statement by the former Flyweight champion, stating that he will return to the division after UFC 250, where he defends his Bantamweight title against Jose Aldo.
Now, Cejudo has taken his trash talk a step further, calling out both Figueiredo and Benavidez and saying that he would fight both in the same night. Cejudo also referred to the pair as “ugly detached Siamese twins.”
“Why don’t you line them both up @danawhite Ill be the co-main and main event in the same night! I’ll beat the brakes out of both these ugly detached Siamese twins #andstill4ever”
As mentioned earlier, Henry Cejudo will first have to defend his UFC Bantamweight title against the former Featherweight champion Jose Aldo. The bout take place at UFC 250 in Brazil this May.
